Happy days! The new children's collection, 'Belonging Street' finally rattled through the letter box and it looks just great. many thanks too everyone at Otter Barry Books. I took it to Liverpool's lovely Princess Park and showed it to the swans and cygnets - who waggled tail feathers and got busy preening (I'll take that as a good response).
A friend, jogging past, noticed me sitting among the reeds and paused for a moment, we stood, at a safe distance, while he peered in, grinning and trying to see the book. I found out later, he'd jogged home and ordered it. Ah, the kindness of swans and friends! I know there will be online launches to come... during these strange times... but this was a joyous launch too.
