Recording a poetry reading for YouTube

Some of the many things I've learned making a video recording for YouTube... look at the lens not the screen... smile, breathe, and blink... Sounds easy, doesn't it.

Eventually, I propped a photo of a friendly face next to the lens - and read the poems straight to them. (Final lesson... unplug your lapel mic before you wander off.)

It's a learning curve for millions of people - shifting the arts online (hopefully temporarily). But in the meantime, if you do see the clip, I hope you feel that yours is the friendly face I am reading to!
